Sarah Rollins
Sarah Rollins is a certified Crossinology ® Brain Integration Technique (BIT) practitioner who comes to this work not only as a skilled practitioner, but also as the parent of a child with learning difficulties. Educated at Stanford University, she received a BA and MA in Sociology in 1991. She began practicing kinesiology in 2004, and began working as a BIT Practitioner in 2005. She worked directly with Susan McCrossin, the co-creator of BIT, for two years in Boulder, CO. Sarah co-taught BIT with Susan, and directs an introductory class for Energy Kinesiology, Introduction to Energy Kinesiology. In June 2007, Sarah opened Innovative Kinesiology, a clinic dedicated to providing a wide range of kinesiology and acupressure-based classes and therapies for building new pathways for Body and Brain Integration. Sarah has also recently begun studying directly under Richard Utt, LAc., founder of the International Institute for Applied Physiology.
Sarah knows all too well the challenges of trying to raise a child who, while very bright, is socially delayed, highly distractible, unable to reason, and emotionally labile. She has two sons, the older of whom was classified as twice-exceptional at the age of 5; he was diagnosed with ADHD and Auditory Processing Disorder, and was also found to be gifted.
Convinced that birth trauma plays a crucial role in setting the stage for learning difficulties, Sarah made it her mission to uncover alternative strategies for managing these challenges. She met Susan McCrossin in 2004 while studying Body Alignment Technique, and took her son to the Learning Enhancement Center (LEC). There she saw first hand the benefits of the Brain Integration Technique.
As Sarah saw her own son's difficulties begin to dissipate, her confidence in BIT led her to study and become a certified practitioner. She joined LEC in May 2005 and began co-teaching BIT with Susan in August 2005. In June 2007, Sarah opened Innovative Kinesiology. Now in addition to practicing BIT, Neuromuscular Activation, and Health and Wellness therapies full-time, Sarah teaches Kinesiology for Health and Wellness to people wanting to explore Kinesiology as an avenue to self-health.
"Sarah's Stanford University training, her success in helping children recovering from birth trauma, her experience as a parent of a twice-exceptional child, her natural abilities in Kinesiology, and her remarkable empathy for children make her an outstanding practitioner."
